Height is the number people ask first. Wood weight, what sits under the tree, and whether the truck can park next to it move the quote more.

- Cost scales with wood volume. Doubling the trunk diameter roughly quadruples the weight the crew has to rig, cut, and haul on a tree removal.
- What sits under it
- A tree in an open field can come down in one piece. The same tree over a roof or a power drop is tree removal in sections, lowered on ropes.
- Whether the truck can reach it
- If the chipper parks next to the tree, brush goes straight in. Carry everything through a 36 inch gate and the labor doubles. That is a common Lawrence backyard job.

How much does tree removal cost in Lawrence or Topeka?
It depends on wood weight, how close the tree is to a structure, and whether a truck can reach it. A small backyard tree and a large silver maple over a roof are different tree removal jobs by a factor of five. We price on site in Lawrence and Topeka. The visit is free. Do you clean everything up?
Yes. Cleanup is in the quote on tree removal. Chips, limbs, and rounds leave with us, and we rake and blow down the work area. If a pile is already on the ground, that is debris hauling. If you burn firewood, say so and we will cut the trunk into rounds and stack them. No charge for that.
Will your equipment damage my lawn or driveway?
We put plywood or mats anywhere a machine crosses turf, and we plan the drop zone so the heavy wood lands where it does the least damage. After rain we would rather come back another day than rut a lawn. Same rule on stump grinding.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Kansas?
Trees on private property are generally the owner's to manage. Street trees and anything in the public right of way usually fall to the city. If you are not sure which yours is, we will check before we quote. Lawrence and Topeka have the local notes.
What happens if you find rot once you have started?
